If there's any celebrity we can rely upon to go into the fall-on fall feels in the form of a manicure, it's Selena Gomez. Last year alone, she leaned into the warm, rich hues of the season with brick red, a soft toffee, and smoky topaz. And she clearly had her mind on autumn well before September, considering she wore a customized shade of brick reddish-orange last August. And like so many of us, the multi-hyphenate clearly can't get enough warm, gingery goodness, because she's wearing another version of burnt orange nails this year: toasted pumpkin.
Simultaneously classic and inevitably trendy, this deep color is a stunning choice for any nail length, as proven by the Instagram Story Gomez posted on Monday. In the photo, we see her thumbnail and pointer fingernail—both on the very manageable shorter side—coated in what nail artist Tom Bachik tells Allure is PLA Gel Polish shade 262, otherwise known as Trick or Treat Yo' Self. (We're gonna stick with calling it toasted pumpkin.)
We also couldn't help notice that Gomez appears to be holding between those two beautifully polished fingers a Rare Beauty lab sample. Her thumb quite deliberately covers most of the label on what seems to be a stick-format product, but we can make out what appears to say “Lip Butter #untinted.” Ooooooooooh!

The next photo is another close-up, this time of her makeup-free, glowing face, and perhaps that lab sample on her lips.

And in yet another photo, we see that it isn't just Rare Beauty products she's willing to hold with this new manicure. Makeup artist Hung Vanngo sent Gomez the mother lode of products from his new eponymous line.

We know they say Labor Day is the unofficial end of summer, but just in case you got a late start on early fall, a shade like this is a perfect pick for your next nail color.
